Dharmaraja Old Boy Seeks Donations For Brain Surgery

DPG Chaminda Gamini Sriyananda, an old boy of Darmaraja College, Kandy seeks financial aids to undergo a brain surgery and for his medication. Due to a tragic accident in 2013, Shriyananda’s right side of the body is effectively lifeless. Surgery which he has been advised to undergo will hopefully bring life back to the lifeless body parts.

Sriyananda, who resides in Thalathu Oya, was a bright student at Dharmaraja College who performed well as a scout. He also worked as an assistant at People’s Bank school Sisu Udana branch while studying for his Advanced Level in Commerce stream. He was also a member of the team of scouts who succeeded in climbing Himalaya Mountain Range in 2007.

The surgery will cost more than Rs.700,000 and since his parents’ income is not stable they find it difficult to find the necessary financial aids for surgery and other medical assistance. Old Boys of Dharmaraja College are planning to organize a musical concert ‘Nethsara Gee Dahana’ with the ‘Vision’ music group to collect necessary financial aids for the surgery.

Those who wish to make a donation can contact Rajitha Wickramarachchi on 0773662443 or Thilina Ruberu on 0718000892 who are on the organizing committee of Nethsara Gee Dahana
