World Bank doubles the lending to Sri Lanka.

The Bloomberg reported that World Bank said it’s lending to Sri Lanka would be more than double in the year starting from July to support spur investment and sustain economic expansion.

A senior country economist at the development lender, Susan Razzaz, said over the telephone that the country will receive $500 million due to recently endorsed new country partnership and $527 million in the 12 months ending in June 2014.
