Civil Defence Force cadres who were queuing for the security of motherland and its people in three years back during the war times, are now totally free from war mentality. With the conclusion of long dragged war, youth are now queuing for the development and progress of the country by offering themselves for the fertility of the soil through toil. More over they have become skilful engineers, architects, sculptors and constructors in various fields by contributing their service to the development process in the country.
The male and female cadres of Civil Defence Force are now engaging in cultivation, pottery, ekel production and livestock projects in Ampara, Ginigath Ara, Minirankiwla, Siyabalanduwa and Deegawapi areas.
The projects are being carried out under the guidance of Director General of Civil Defence Department Ananda Peiris with the supervision of N.L. Thilakaratne, Commander of Monaragala District.
