The Statement of Youth for Greener Sri Lanka was presented to Minister of Environment, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Ministry's Secretary and Sri Lanka Head of Rio+20, Basnayake on 8th June at Solis Hotel, Pitakotte during Media Conference on Rio+ Preparation in Sri Lanka.
After 20 years of Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit, all Leaders in the World, International Organizations and Institutions met in the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The aim of the Summit was to take appropriate measures to maintain Social equality, Environmental Protection, and Minimizing of Poverty. The Summit also focused on the protection of modernized political dedications for worldwide sustainable development.
