Sri Lanka President warmly welcomes King Mswati III of Swaziland

alt King Mswati III accompanied by Queen Inkhosikati LaMahlangu and his delegation who arrived the island on 14th for three-day official visit were warmly welcomed by the President Mahinda Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat.

The King and the delegation were received with a guard of honor by Sri Lankan President.

President and the Swaziland King held bilateral discussions on importance of exploring possibilities to enhance economic cooperation, diversify products in trade and building up of private-public relationships between two countries.

Sri Lanka and Swaziland signed an Agreement on Economic, Commercial and Technical Cooperation between two countries on Tuesday following the discussions with visiting King Mswati III.

Secretary of External Affairs ministry Karunatillaka Amunugama says that Sri Lanka is keeping a close eye on possible moves being taken against by Canada. He said that the Ministry is aware of discussions held recently between Canada and the Bahamas on the Commonwealth summit to be held in Sri Lanka.
