No harmful proposals on Sri Lanka – U.S.

Diplomatic sources reported American Government would not make any proposal that would be disadvantageous to Sri Lanka and has informed Sri Lanka Government not to be shaken about the proposal going to be presented from American party.

However, Minister of External Affairs, Prof.G.L.Peiris says an objection will be projected for such proposals as internal issues in Sri Lanka will be internationalized

Houses for illegal occupants on either side of fuel pipe line

Urban Development Authority is to hand over the completed housing units constructed for illegal dwellers living on either side of Colombo Port-Kolonnawa fuel pipe line. Under the project, new fuel pipe lines will be laid in place of old ones and the illegal occupants residing along the fuel pipe will be moved away temporarily.
