The Chairman of Cosmetic Devices and Drugs Authority Dr. Hemantha Beneragama says registration of inferior quality medicine and vaccines will be abolished.
The decision comes as a measure taken by the Ministry of Health to control the import of substandard drugs to the country.
The Ministry has already deployed special teams to check the quality and conditions of Indian drug manufacturing companies.
