Health Clinic for Navagampura, Colombo 14

alt The first phase of the Health Clinic was commenced at the Navagampura Community hall, Colombo 14 for urban people on 16th.

This was initiated on the advice of Wimal Weerawana, Minister of Construction, Engineering Service, Housing and Common Amenities by the Social Mobilization Unit of Urban Settlement Development Authority and the Health Unit of Sri Lanka Family Health Bureau.

The people living in Navagampura, Wadulawatte, Victoria House, New Kelanipura, Wadulawatte and Wadula Sevena 134 and 185 Watte participated.

All medical treatments and tests for cancer, blood pressure and many other illnesses were diagnosed.

Canada monitored by Sri Lanka

Secretary of External Affairs ministry Karunatillaka Amunugama says that Sri Lanka is keeping a close eye on possible moves being taken against by Canada. He said that the Ministry is aware of discussions held recently between Canada and the Bahamas on the Commonwealth summit to be held in Sri Lanka.
