Ballot papers to reach post offices by 17th August’

All ballot papers for forthcoming three dissolved Provincial Councils in Eastern, North Central and Sabaragamuwa will be dispatched on 17th August to the respective post offices island wide, the department sources said.
Postal Department will make necessary arrangements to deliver ballot papers to voters within two weeks time while the Sunday 26th of August will be reserved for special distribution day.
Authorized officer for IDPs in North, Major General Boniface Perera states that strict action will be taken against those who try to hold LTTE functions pretending to commemorate the deceased relatives during the war.
