Applications for Korean employment exam will be issued on next month

altThe applications for Korean Employment Examination will be called in next month through 30 centers including Northern and Eastern Provinces, the Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare said.

Employment opportunities in Korea for Sri Lankan youths  were first introduced by President Mahinda Rajapaksa during the tenure of his service in Labour Ministry in 1994 and currently around 25,000 Lankan youth are working in South Korea.
Each Sri Lankan working in Korea earns an average monthly salary of Rs.150,000 while each of them is sending about Rs.120.000 to Sri Lanka monthly.
 
Both the males and females in the age group of 18-39 can sit for the above examination.
