The death of Dehiattakandiya student was not due to Z-score results which has changed after the recent Z-score re-calculation, police media unit said while denying the reports that a student had committed suicide by consuming poison due Z-score re-calculation results.
The police investigations have revealed that death was due to a love affair and not the Z-scores and further pointed out that deceased’s earlier Z-score was 0.9637 and after re-calculations, it had improved to 1.1121 while district level position too has been decreased to 375 from 570.
A protest was held in Dehiattakandiya areas on 29th accusing that she committed suicide due to injustice caused to her over Z-score re-calculation.
