Sri Lanka Railway Department has suggested to use super diesel for train engines in future as five of the engines have developed engine troubles yesterday (30), BAP Ariyaratne, the General Manager of Railway said.
Following the examination of diesel samples, it had been found that engines were stopped due faults in filters.
In the meantime, Ministry of Petroleum Industries, appointed a three-member Committee to inquire into the complaints on inferior quality diesel as several vehicles, cars, buses and trains have suffered technical faults with the use of contaminated diesel.
