Cabinet approves diplomatic ties with Solomon Islands and Tuvalu

alt Sri Lanka Cabinet has granted the approval to the proposal of Prof. G.L. Peris, Minister of External Affairs to establish Diplomatic Relations with both Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.

Two Pacific Island Nations have passed their interest through the Sri Lanka Mission in New York in establishing Diplomatic Relations with Sri Lanka.

Both these countries share common memberships in several international fora with Sri Lanka including United Nations, Commonwealth and International Monetary Fund (IMF) etc.
