A special Railway Museum will be established in view of 150th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Railway Department in a suitable location either in Kadugannawa, Ambepussa and Ratmalana, Director of Railway Planning, Wijaya Samarasinghe said.
The museum is to be constructed with Chinese aid and all details, important artifacts, pictures with historical values will be included to exhibit for both local and foreign visitors in the proposed museum. In addition it will have a auditorium with modern facilities and a library.
The decision will be made on the suitable location by the end of this month, he added.
