Health Minister's private staff uses 51 State vehicles – Ven.Muruththettuwe Thera

The President of Health Services Trade Union Confederation, Ven. Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero states that 51 vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Health are being used for private purposes by private staff of Health Minister.
Most of those vehicles are daily running from Colombo to Polonnaruwa while fuel for vehicles in question are being pumped by Health Ministry.
Extra payments for such vehicles are provided from Ministry’s funds, the Ven. Ananda Thero added.
A stock of kotalahimbutu and sandal wood have been handed over to Department Indigenous Medicine by Sri Lanka Custom’s Biological Species, Cultural and National Heritage Protection Unit (BCNHPU) after being arrested in an attempt to export them to Japan illegally.
