The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) requests not to represent for nationalism at a time when country is being built up after defeating the Separatism, says the Treasurer of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), Dallas Alahapperuma.
It was the responsibility of all political parties to engage in election campaigning without disseminating the nationalism as there is a trend in creating nationalism and religious denomination in Eastern areas, he said.
Some political parties are resorted to use nationalism as a political tactic to gain more votes, Minister pointed out.
