Karunanidhi requests citizenship for Tamil refugees

DMK President M Karunanidhi yesterday requested Indian Central Government to provide citizenship to over a hundred thousand Sri Lankan Tamil refugees living in India, Press Trust of India reported. He further stated that giving them citizenship would guarantee their permanent safety and their future.
