Rajasthan Royals claimed a 5-wicket victory in  20^th Indian Premier League twenty20 match played against Deccan Chargers on yesterday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.  

The toss won by Deccan Chargers’ Skipper Kumar Sangakkara decided to score first against RR.  Saga’s team gave a target of 196 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs. The Skipper scored 44 runs including 5 fours and 1 six while Shikhar Dhawan and Jean-Paul Duminy achieved their half centuries adding 52 and 58* runs.

The target was strong enough but mighty Rajasthan team avoided Chargers getting their debut victory in IPL 2012 as target achiever Rajasthan Royals scored 197 runs off 5 wickets in 19 overs and 4 balls. Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane raised the score adding 42 and 44 runs while Brad Hodge added 48 runs holding his wicket and became the man-of-the-match. Amit Mishra took 3 wickets off 32 runs.

However Rajasthan Royals gained 2 points and jumped to the top recording 8 points on the Points Table while Deccan Chargers still remains with zero points.
