Harshana Thilakaratna became the Champion in 2011 World Chess Tournament representing the under-10 category, held in Brazil. Harshana is a grade 4 student studying at Maliyadeva College in Kurunagala.
Little champ Harshana has achieved many victories in National and International competitions in early occasions too. The champion visited for Temple Tress on 19th and President Mahinda Rajapaksha extended his sincere wishes on his great achievement.
Harshana Thilakaratna is qualified for World School Chess Tournament to be held in Rumania.
