India seal the victory of only T-20 International match in India's tour in Sri Lanka played at Pallekele International Stadium on Tuesday (07). India made a comfortable win after Sri Lankan team was all-out for 116 runs off 18 overs.
Sri Lanka, who won the toss, invited India to bat first but unexpectedly India smashed a total of 155 runs for 3 wickets within 20 overs. As usual, Virat Kohili triggered by adding 68 runs and Suresh Raina scored 34 and not out.
Sri Lankan batsmen were all out for 116 following the excellent bowling by Irfan Pathan and Ashok Dinda, who took 3 and 4 wickets off 27 and 19 runs respectively. Captain Mahela was out for 26 while the team’s highest individual score of 31 runs was added by Angelo Mathews. Man-of-the-match was Irfan Pathan of India.
India tour of Sri Lanka ended both, ODI series and the T-20 match’s victory leaving in the hands of tourist while Sri Lankan team needs to practice hard to face the forthcoming ICC T-20 series and SLPL matches.
