Gas, Milk Powder and Cement prices up

alt Prices of domestic LP (Liquid Petrol) gas, imported milk powder and cement will be increased from midnight today, Corporative and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando. The price of 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder will be increased by Rs.350 and packs of one kilo gram and 400g imported milk powder by Rs.61 and Rs.163 respectively.

Consumer Affairs Authority also approved to increase the price of 50 kilo cement bag by Rs.70.

Ministry of Finance yesterday (03) announced that a tariff of 15 percent or 92 rupees (whichever higher) will be imposed on imported milk food exclusive of infants’ milk food.

Ports Authority requests Importers to furnish details of goods in fire caught warehouse

The Chairman of the Ports Authority Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrema says if any importer suspects that his imported goods were in the storage that caught fire, he should furnished those details to the special information center that has been established to expedite the investigations being carried out, State-run-SLBC reported.

Special traffic plan in Battaramulla & roads around

The Police request the drivers to use alternative roads, from the 24th to 27th May till 6PM, to avoid heavy traffic due to masses visiting Diyavanna Vesak zone. Vehicles travelling to Malambe, can travel through Densil Kobbakaduwa road from Parliament roundabout. Vehicles travelling to Parliament through Densil Kobbakaduwa road are advised to divert to Battaramulla-Malambe main road from Robert Gunewardane Avenue.
