Myanmar’s opposition party of Aung San Suu Kiyi has refused to sit on their new seats in parliament due to a dispute against a one word in lawmakers' oath. The original oath says they (The National League for Democracy party) must be "safeguard the constitution," while the lawmakers want the word "safeguard" replaced with “respect”.
Party officials said the issue would come back to normal soon as Southeast Asian nation, Myanmar’s President also mentioned a revision was possible. "Safeguard the constitution," is a document they have vowed to amend because it gives inordinate power to the military and was drafted during an era of army rule
