Yemen military re-gained the last al-Qaida territory in Abyan Province.

altYemen's army was able to regain the under control of Shaqra on Friday (15) which was the last stronghold territory in Abyan province seized by al-Qaida militants more than a year ago, officials said.

 
During the clashes to recapture Shaqra, at least 17 al-Qaida militants were killed on Friday and government army is ongoing with their missions in the nearby province of Shabwa to retake Azzan which is al-Qaida’s last territory.
 
Within this week military is focusing to regain the control of Azzan which is the last hope and last town for al-Qaida in Shabwa province, Yemen's Defence Minister, Major General Muhammad Nasir Ahmad, said.
