altForeign media reported that at least 17 people have been murdered following simultaneous gun and grenade attacks aimed by masked assailants in two churches in Kenya on yesterday (01). The raids became the worst in the nation since the deployment of Kenyan troops to Somalia to take down al Shabaab militant in October

The attacks in the North Kenyan town, Garissa left more than 60 casualties. The venue of attacks was used as a base for operations to crack down insurgents in Somalia who were al-Qaeda affiliated.

The responsibly of the worst attack since October was not claimed immediately but Police suspects al Shabaab sympathizers or bandits might be the attackers behind the scene while al Shabaab in Somalia rejected to answer making doubts in security forces.
