Ghanaian President, John Atta Mills, who was one of the most mature democracies in West Africa, has been passed away on Tuesday afternoon, State media reported.
The 68-year-old president died 5 months before his first term after being elected as the third president of Gahanna in 2008.
President John Evans Atta Mills was born on 21st July 1944 and died three days after his 68th birthday leaving Ghanaians a day of mourning.
The president has died at the 37 Military Hospital after being rushed in the morning despite his health deteriorated, The Chief of Staff in the Presidency Henry Martey Newman said.
