Premajayantha And Anura Yapa Meet Namal For "Special Discussion" At Racecourse Restaurant

Asian Mirror can now reveal that UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha and SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa have met Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa for a one-hour meeting at a restaurant within the Colombo Racecourse premises this afternoon.
 
The meeting took place amidst extensive discussions between two factions of the SLFP over nominations for former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his allies. By the time the meeting took place, Rajapaksa's nominations had already been finalized. But, there was a tug of war over nominations for his close allies including Johnston Fernando, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Rohitha Abeygunawardena and Laskhman Wasantha Perara.
 
Premajayantha and Yapa arrived at the restaurant around 2.30 pm. Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa. a candidate who is expected to contest from the UPFA for the Hambanthota district, visited the restaurant with some of his bodyguards.
 
The discussion went on for about an hour and the meeting ended at 4.30 pm. The eye-witnesses told Asian Mirror that the meeting ended on a "friendly note."
 

Most of the ex-MPs whose nominations have now come under question are close associates of Namal Rajapaksa, former head of the SLFP Youth Wing.
