The website of a local Radio Station published a news item earlier on Sunday, apparently showing Russian President Vladimir Putin taking part in the 'The Voice' talent show.

The video shows the judge panel reacting in disbelief when the identity of the performer is revealed.

However, this video published by a user on Youtube has been edited combining two earlier videos.

Putin had indeed performed at a charity event in 2010 when he was the Prime Minister of Russia. He is shown singing 'Fats' Domino's "Blueberry Hill." The video was originally shown by the Russian TV channel RT.

The other video used in the edited version is a 2012 performance on 'The Voice'.
