Wasim Thajudeen's Death: CID To Request Order To Exhume Body

The CID intends to request a Magistrate’s order to exhume the body of former Havelocks rugby captain Wasim Thajudeen for further investigations to his death, Police Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara told Asian Mirror.

Police security was imposed to the grave of Thajudeen at Dehiwela following the revelations that his death was suspicious.

Wasim Thajudeen was killed in a road accident in Colombo, in May 2012.  At that time it was said that Thajudeen had been driving to the airport when he had lost control of the car and crashed into the wall of Shalika grounds on park road. The car had exploded within seconds of the crash burning the whole car.

However, the CID recently said that his death was no accident and that there were numerous injuries in his body.
