Four civilians were remanded for allegedly involving in the violent protest near the Homagama Magistrate’s Court.

Kamal Shantha, Mahesh Prasanna, Sena Kumara, and Chinthaka Seneviratne were said to be the arrested civilians.

The protestrs were remanded by Magistrate Sudarshana Suriyapperuma, after they were produced before the Courts this afternoon.

More than 200 monks representing Bodu Bala Sena, Ravana Balaya, and Sinhala Ravaya, along with civilians protested in front of Homagama Magistrate Coursts, over the diction to remand Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera.

The protesters also blocked the road near the court to prevent the prison bus leaving the premises.
