Following TNL Debacle, SLRC Awarded Telecast Rights Of International Cricket Matches

Following the controversy regarding TNL being given the telecast rights of the Asian Cup, the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation has been given telecast rights of international cricket matches for four years.

Therefore, the SLRC will have the rights to telecast ICC tournaments such as ICC Champions Trophy, Women's World Cup, Under-19 World Cup and the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Cricket fans across the country complained about TNL being awarded telecast rights of Asia Cup due to poor coverage.

TNL is owned by the brother of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
