Maithri Camp Moves To Further Consolidate Power In SLFP: Interviews Begin For New Organisers

Interviews are set to begin today to select new electorate organizers for Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) at party headquarters in Colombo.

Former Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne, Ministers Susil Premajayantha, W. D. J. Senewiratne, and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, and former MPs Athauda Seneviratne, and Jagath Pushpakumara have been named for the interview board.

The purpose of this measure was to remove electorate organizers who were not committed for the benefit of SLFP and to appoint new organizers.

“Several organizers acted as obstacles against the unity of SLFP since the last Presidential election. Some organizers have not been any support for objectives of the party. Therefore, it was decided to appoint new organizers”, SLFP General Secretary, Minister Duminda Dissanayake said.
