Jaffna Mosque Attacked By Motorcycle Gang

A mosque in Jaffna has been attacked by an unidentified group who came in a motorcycle, police sources confirmed Asian Mirror. 

The incident had taken taken place on Friday and due to the attack, the glasses of the mosque have been damaged. 
 
The 'motorcycle gang' had left the location minutes after attacking the mosque. 
 
Police have started an investigation into the incident following a complaint lodged by the management of the mosque. 
 
Meanwhile, several Tamil owned shops in the Eastern province have been attacked on the grounds that they did not take part in the 'Hartal' on Thursday against the attacks on Muslims in Aluthgama, Beruwala and Dharga Town. 
 
Unconfirmed reports also said on Friday that the prayer room of Muslims in the Jaffna University premises has been damaged.
