Namal Rajapaksa Opposes 'Government's Plans To Sell Hambantota Port'

UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa said that as opposition MPs they are unable to support the policies of the UNP including privatization of state entities.

Speaking at a meeting in Moneragala, he said that the government was planning to sell the Hambantota Port.

Rajapaksa pointed out that the Joint Opposition is unable to support the government's plans to increase the VAT to 15 percent.

Arresting opposition figures will not stop the march against the government which will be started on July 28, he also said.

"We arenow used to going to prison. That will not stop us" he said.
