Joint Opposition To Hold Special Meeting Today

A special meeting of the Joint Opposition will be held this evening (22) with the participation of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa.

All the Members of Parliament who are representing JO have been invited upon to the meeting.

Sources said that the meeting will consider the issue of participation for the anniversary celebrations of Sri Lanka Freedom Party in Kurnegala early next month. Furthermore, the meeting is expected to discuss the sacking of JO members from SLFP organizer posts.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently stated that the SLFP has been divided after the removal of many 'popular' organizers of the party from their posts.
