JHU Demands TNA And ITAK To Practice Their Vows

Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) has issued a statement to media saying that the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and Illangai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) should not only accept the policy of a 'Unitary State' but also put it to practice.

Earlier TNA handed over an affidavit to the Supreme court saying that they accept the concept of 'Undivided Power' in Sri Lanka, where they said that they stand with democracy and would have no issue in accepting the concept.

JHU claims that TNA and ITAK have not yet started acting on behalf of a unified government but are well-known for acting towards implementing division of power. They demanded the Tamil organizations to contribute towards democracy if they have truly adopted the policy.

Hela Urumaya also demanded that they should accept democracy in front of the international community and that they should stop shedding crocodile tears to international media behind the government's back.

They finished their remarks by saying that they truly appreciate the Tamil organizations coming forward and embracing this concept of a Unitary State and that they have provided a good response to some parties who are trying to spread separatism in the country.
