A sixteen member special delegation of the US House of Representatives has arrived in the island.

According to the US Embassy, three days of meetings are to be held as part of the House Democracy Partnership (HDP).

During the visit, the delegation is scheduled to meet the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister and Speaker.

The delegation arrived in the country last night on a special flight from the United States.

The delegation to remain in the country till the 24th of March.
