A building in Grand Pass, Colombo, collapsed this afternoon, killings several people. 

Although the Police say two people have been confirmed dead, sources on the ground says the death toll may go up to at least five. 

Several people with critical injuries  have already been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. 

A few more are believed to be trapped under the rubble and the rescue operations are underway. 

The reason for the collapse of the building, located at Babapulle Mawatha, Grand Pass, is not yet determined.
