The Sri Lanka Cricket has requested Sports Minister Faiszer Mustapha to appoint Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara, Aravinda de Silva and Roshan Mahanama as consultants to the SLC.

SLC has also requested the Minister to appoint Muttiah Muralidaran as a spin bowling coach to help the bowling attack of the Sri Lankan cricket team. 

The former Sri Lankan cricketers will work as a committee to uplift Sri Lanka's cricket, SLC sources said.
