The Joint Opposition (JO) which is to launch a massive protest at 2 pm today is expected to converge at Pettah.

MP Udaya Gammanpila said they planned to march thereafter to the Lake House Roundabout where they will stage their protest.

The JO had not divulged a location for their protest although it was expected that main routes into the city would be blocked and smooth function paralysed.

The JO is hoping to put pressure on the government by marching under the slogan ‘Janabalaya Kolambata’.
