Supreme Court's Ruling On President's Decision To Dissolve Parliament Expected Today Or Tomorrow

The Supreme Court's ruling on President Maithripala Sirisena's decision to dissolve Parliament is expected today or tomorrow. 

A seven member bench, headed by Chief Justice Nalin Jayalath Perera, heard the case. 

Thirteen petitioners and five intervening petitioners have filed submissions in the Supreme Court over four days. 

President Maithripala Sirisena has publicly claimed that he will respect the ruling of the case and make political decisions accordingly. 

The United National Party postponed its mass demonstration to December 17 expecting the ruling of the case later this week.
