Underworld kingpin Mohammed Najib Mohammed Imran alias Kajipani Imran was reported by Dubai authorities yesterday. 

Imran, a close associate of Makandure Madhush, was detained by the CID at the Katunaike airport this morning upon his return to Sri Lanka. 

Imran was arrested in Dubai on February 05 along with Makandure Madhush and several other underworld figures. 

Kanjipani Imran's name is linked to a number of criminal activities in Sri Lanka including murders and drug trading.
