President Sirisena Arrives In New Delhi To Attend Inauguration Ceremony Of Narendra Modi: Welcomed By Senior Foreign Ministry Officials

President Maithripala Sirisena arrived in New Delhi this afternoon (May 30) to attend the inaugural ceremony of the second term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government Information Department said.

The Sri Lankan President was received at the Indira Gandhi International Airport by senior officials of the Indian Foreign Ministry.

Sri Lanka High Commissioner Austin Fernando and other officials were present on this occasion. President Sirisena, together with several other foreign leaders, will participate in the inaugural ceremony at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi this evening, where Prime Minister Modi will take oaths as Prime Minister for the second term in office.
