Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera said the letterhead addressed to His Holiness the Pope, which is attributed to the him is fake.

"The fabrication of a Parliament Letterhead and the Minister’s signature are serious matters as is the fabricated content of the letter, and action has accordingly been taken today to lodge a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Sri Lanka Police requesting that this matter is investigated immediately'" his office said in a statement today.
