Attorney General Instructs Acting IGP To Brief Him On Investigations Into Easter Sunday Attacks And Sainthamaruthu Explosions

The Attorney General has instructed Acting IGP Chandana Wickremaratne to brief him on the current status of investigations relating to the Easter Sunday attacks and the Sainthamaruthu explosions.

The Attorney General has also informed the Acting IGP to brief him on the investigations into the Jamiyyathul Milathu Ibrahim (JMI) and the Wilayath As Seylani.

The two organizations were also banned alongside the National Thowheed Jamaath under the Emergency Regulations.

The Police Media Spokesman recently said over 100 people have been arrested in direct relation to the Easter Sunday explosions. They are currently being interrogated by the Criminal Investigations Department and the Terrorist Investigations Division (TID)
