US Secretary Of State Mike Pompeo Cancels His Visit Sri Lanka Due To "Unavoidable Scheduling Conflicts"

The US Embassy in Colombo announced that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo would not visit Sri Lanka later this month, as previously scheduled.

Issuing a statement, the US Embassy said the sudden cancellation was due to "unavoidable scheduling conflicts."

Pompeo was expected to visit Sri Lanka later this month, as part of his Asian tour. He is expected to visit India and several other countries in the region from June 24 to June 30.
