President Sirisena Leaves For United Kingdom To Attend Son's Graduation: Ruwan Wijewardena Appointed Acting Minister Of Defence

President Maithripala Sirisena has left for the United Kingdom on a personal visit.

Sources close to the President said Sirisena left for the United Kingdom to attend his son, Daham Sirisena's graduation.

In the President's absence, State Defence Minister Ruwan Wijewardena will function as the Acting Minister of Defence.

As a result of the President visit to the United Kingdom, the weekly Cabinet meeting. which is usually scheduled on Tuesday, was held last Sunday at the Presidential Secretariat.
