No President Can Get Elected Without Muslim Votes: Former Governor Hizbullah Says In Kattankudi

No President will be able to get elected without Muslim votes, former Eastern Province Governor M.L.A.M. Hizbullah said.

Addressing a gathering in Kattankudi, all Presidents in Sri Lanka from J.R. Jayewardene to Maithripala Sirisena needed the support of Muslims.

Hizbullah was forced to resign from his position amidst allegations that he aided extremist groups in the Eastern Province.

He is also under investigation over the construction of the institution referred to as the Sharia University in Batticaloa.
