Ruling Party Muslim MPs To Hold Another Meeting Tomorrow On Re-Accepting Their Ministerial Positions

The Muslim MPs who resigned from their ministerial positions will make a decision on re-accepting their posts tomorrow.

Although they were expected to be sworn-in last week, the event was postponed at the moment.

SLMC Leader former Minister Rauff Hakeem told the media that they would not re-accept their positions again until the issues faced by Sri Lankan Muslims were fully resolved.

However, UNP MPs who resigned from their ministerial positions have been reappointed to their posts.

The Muslim MPs collectively resigned from their ministerial and deputy ministerial positions following a hunger strike carried out by Parliamentarian Athuraliye Rathana Thera.
