All Muslim MPs Who Resigned From Posts Ready To Re-accept Their Ministerial Positions: Bathiudeen Too Likely To Be Sworn-in As Minister

All Muslim MPs who resigned from their ministerial portolios after the hunger strike by Parliamentarian Athuraliye Rathana Thera have decided to re-accept their positions, informed political sources said.

The group includes ACMC Leader Rishad Bathiudeen who even faced a No-Confidence Motion in Parliament over his alleged links with Islamist extremists.

The MPs held a discussion in Colombo today over the possibility of re-accepting their positions again. The same group previously said they would not accept any position until the issues faced by Sri Lankan Muslims are fully resolved.

However, the Muslim MPs representing the UNP including party Chairman Kabir Hashim have already re-accepted their positions.
