No one can outfox Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in the political chess game, UPFA MP Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said.

Addressing a press conference today, the Parliamentarian said Wickrenesinghe could consolidate his power in the UNP at any moment.

"He may not be able to win elections, but no one can beat him in politics within the party, " the Parliamentarian added.

Abeywaedena, a former UNP Parliamentarian who later crossed over to the UPFA said Speaker Karu Jayasuriya is likely to win the presidential candidacy race within the UNP, with the blessings of Prime Minister Wickremesinghe.
